The term 'birdwatching' literally means 'bird watching'. For birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts, it is undoubtedly one of the most fun and interesting activities one can engage in. Practising it allows you to escape from the stresses of everyday life by immersing yourself in a healthy, natural environment. It also has an educational function, both for adults and children and combines perfectly with other activities, such as trekking, camping, photography and life drawing.
And what better place to practice this activity than the Po Delta Park? A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, the Po Delta is the largest of the regional parks in Emilia Romagna.
In the months of migratory transit, between mid-July and mid-October and between the end of February and mid-April, the greatest number of species can be observed. On board a small boat, we will go into the thick reed thickets of the oasis near the Gorino lighthouse, a paradise for water birds, accompanied by expert and trained guides to live together a unique experience with a magical flavour.
Thanks to its wide variety of environments, it is a true paradise for biodiversity, as evidenced by the presence of over 300 species of birds. This makes the Park the most important ornithological area in Italy, and also one of the most important in Europe.
